DIONISOS GREEK RESTAURANT




Ioannis Golias is a Greek business-man, with a large experience of more than 20 years in restaurant managing.

In 1993 he left Greece, and he fixed his residence in Barcelona city. After a few months he decided to open a restaurant, a space to show to Barcelonans the unique characteristics of Greek cuisine and the authentically Hellenic traditions. That’s why on 26th of February 1993 he founded the first Greek restaurant in Barcelona, a Traditional Greek Tavern in the main centre of the city. He named it “DIONISOS”, after the ancient Greek God of wine, pleasure and good food.

Three years later he opened the second “DIONISOS”, also in the main centre of Barcelona, which as the first one, had a very big success.

In 1997, was already necessary the consolidation of our image, that permit us to GROW, EXPAND and reach a high DISTINGUISHMENT. By this reason was created the denomination of “GRUPO DIONISOS” that groups the Trade Company, the four restaurants “DIONISOS” and a restaurant specialized in “nouvelle cuisine”: “SUKUR”.
